You could argue that marriage equality has little to do with children, but Patterson seemed to speak to Californians' inchoate phobias about gays and kids. On the Friday before the Bee story appeared, a group of San Francisco first-graders was taken to city hall to see their lesbian teacher marry her partner. Apparently the field trip was a parent's idea - not the teacher's - but the optics of ...

Kind of a complicated question isn't it. Personally without thinking deep I think we should. How about Iran and there nuke program. They say its just for electricity, which is bull, when you figure they have all the petroleum and natural gas they would ever use.

http://newsminer.com/news/2008/nov/1...-office-aga in/ Quote: WASILLA, Alaska -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she wouldn't hesitate to run for the presidency in four years if it's God's will, even though she never thought Campaign 2008 would be "as brutal a ride as it turned out to be." In a series of interviews in the wake of last Tuesday's elections, Palin ...

Over the weekend President-elect Barack Obama scrubbed Change.gov, his transition Web site, deleting most of what had been a massive agenda copied directly from his campaign Web site. Gone are the promises on how an Obama administration would handle 25 different agenda items - everything from Iraq and immigration to taxes and urban policy - all items laid out on his campaign Web site, www....

Hard Times, But Big Wall Street Bonuses It's no secret that investment bankers are well-compensated, mostly through year-end bonuses, especially during bull markets. But can they still count on those big bonuses this year, in the midst of the financial crisis and market freefall? CBS News correspondent Priya David spoke with several compensation consultants who said that, even in...

Maybe the taxpayers will remodel the house to correct this unacceptable house? Single mother on benefits is moved into £1m five-bedroom house - funded by the taxpayer Oh, just in case you are wondering, that is equal to $1.5 million in US dollars!!

John McCain and Joe the Plumber are campaigning for Barack Obama, and they don't even know it. The more McCain has ramped up his attacks on Obama as a "spreader of wealth," the more the country has lined up behind the Democrat's plan to spread the wealth. If McCain's economic agenda was a gun and his attacks on Obama's agenda the bullets, the old soldier would have shot both his feet clean off a ...

WASHINGTON (AP) - President-elect Obama's advisers are quietly crafting a proposal to ship dozens, if not hundreds, of imprisoned terrorism suspects to the United States to face criminal trials, a plan that would make good on his promise to close the Guantanamo Bay prison but could require creation of a controversial new system of justice. During his campaign, Obama described Guantanamo as a...

(CNN) -- Sarah Palin told local reporters in Alaska that unhappiness with the Bush administrations Iraq war policy and spending record were responsible for the GOP tickets defeat this year. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com...d-led-to-lo ss/ Talk about stating the obvious, you betcha! She did nothing to help the situation either!

Have you all noticed that the environment has never been discussed seriously by either candidate. Why is this? They, the candidates, know that its OK to just mention it, but not to discuss it, it is something the average American does not want to talk about. Until earlier this year, the USA lead the world as the country with the most CO2 emissions. China has now taken over this ...

The strain on the reserves can not continue, and who is going to continue to lend the USA 100s of billions if not trillions. Should a bailout plan be necessary for the motor industry to keep it afloat another year or so, what happens then. Retooling the industry towards smaller cars wont happen overnight. Im sure, these CEOs have a mind thought that big cars are still the way forward, when ...
