Sorry if this is a stupid question! I am (for several reasons) having to cancel Dish and get Comcast. (I know...). Anyway, I was wondering what the process is after I call to cancel. Do they "pick-up" the Dish? Or does it stay there? Will they pick up DVRS or will they just send boxes? Thanks much-- this place has been a tremendous source of helpful information.

I'm thinking about buying a powerline ethernet adapter so I can hook my 722 up to DishOnline. Before I spend the $$$, I have a few questions that I'm hoping some of you can answer. How much of the content is free? What kind of content is there? I'm not interesting in renting PPVs, but I'm hoping there will be network shows and movies from the premiums to which I subscribe. Any feedback is ...

I contact E* yesterday regarding the Celtics game on 11/1 not being in HD on CSN NE. After a few run around questions I was told that the game in not being broadcast in HD. I told them that all Celtics games are in HD (home and away). What is the correct way to contact E* and inform them that all games are in HD. I was going to have some friends over to watch the game, but the SD picture ...

I vented on the chit chat forum and I feel better already .. I've been wrestling with my DISH set up since June. To make a wearisome and inFURIating story short, I cannot seem to resolve an issue I keep having with the LNBF switch on my system that causes me to lose reception of the 110 satellite .. again and again. I have a DP twin set up, a standard Dish receiver 311 and a good clear shot ...

Please forgive me if this belongs in FAQ, but if someone could point me to the answer I'd be grateful. I want to use an old 942 as an OTA tuner only, with no satellite hookup. Is this possible and if so what does one have to do to make it work? When I simply hooked it up it would not allow me to scan the local channels. Thanks.

Hello, I am new to this forum. I have been reading on another forum about dish, and most seemed to like it. Now that I have been thumbing through some of these threads, I am wondering if I should switch to dish. A few questions that I have are. I would have a 4 t.v set up. 2 HD and 2 Standard. One HD with DVR and the other without. I understand that I could run 2 standard T.V's from the HD ...

I know I'm not the only one getting this. I've had DN out on 4 seperate occassions to do work. The last techs actually got me a stronger overall signal on the 129˚, but it seems around the same time (or near (anytime in between 5PM - 7PM MTN)) my HD de-digitizes. They trimmed the top of a tree and said there was a clear line to the satellite, so I'm going to believe thats not it. My ...

Hello I got 3 dishnetwork cards in the mail yesterday and was wanting to know what they are for? I have two vip 722 and one 511. Do I have to install them? Will they give me more channels? I didn't think you needed the cards anymore. Thanks Kevin

Today's news from Dish looks absolutely bleak. Charlie shows that like a dog, he is continuously chasing his tail and trying to drag us along. I was wondering how many people after today's news, are now seriously considering jumping ship? I, for one, have one foot out the door but am hesitant because of the DVR reviews. Anyway's, anyone else looking at deals from Direct and giving it ...
