a minority candidate but then vote for the white candidate on election day For those of you who aren t familiar with the history of this you can find it
here It appears that the so called Bradley Effect was
much ado about nothing The national polls showed Obama leading by about 8 one week prior to the election and

Tom Bradley an African American who lost the 1982 California governor s race despite being ahead in voter polls going into the elections

Obama vote 63 249 576 52 McCain vote 55 900 534 47 http en wikipedia org wiki U S _presidential_election _200 I would attribute the difference to the Bradley effect
