5k ago I cant be sure of the quality of oil used etc I ll be doing oil changes every 7 500 miles and would like a decent oil The Fuchs stuff has good reviews on a lot of BMW boards So has anyone actually used it here Or are there any other brands you can recommend Dan

I did some analysis of the two oils Silkolene PRO S 10W-50 engine oil Red line oil 15W 50 Bascially Silkolene has better protection on cold start ups, higher Viscosity Index and will generate higher oil pressure I use Silko

From the MSDS 40C viscosity it appears this mtl MIGHT be a 75W85 If it s a Castrol product and a 75W 85 this may be in the Motorcraft bottle http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-739-castrol-
