Im running a top mount turbo setup and with the limited room in the engine bay, the MAF is too close to the turbo which causes the car to stall out when coming to idle. I know its caused by the turbo creating a swirling effect in the air causing false readings with the MAF. Is there an easy way to fix the turbulance issue without going blowthru or map sensor?

Hi guys. I am using an internaly gated GT3071R on a T25 flange. I am boosting 20PSI solid to the red line, and at that boost i am getting in the best case cenario 42lbf flow from the turbo... This turbo is capable of around 48lbf, and for the engine to reach that, i need to hold about 24-25 psi. The problem is that i cant get solid boost above 20 psi.....the boost drops to about 17-18, ...

Hey ahmed. Yea I've lurked around on NRR for a while and it's a great place for car handling info. I'm not building my car to compete yet as I can only afford 1 car that does all (that's why i picked the 240 - sporty but practical all year round). And with the spring rates I'd like it seems overkill to go with any coil sleeve setup like GC or Hypercoil... That's why I'm considering lowering ...

I had a talk with a friend who was in linguistics recently. A while back he and a few other co-workers ( most were pretty liberal-although he is not) were analyzing George W. Bush's speeches for signs attributable to dyslexia....so...just to rile him up (because he's further right than me) I asked if Sarah was dyslexic...and suprisingly instead of getting defensive...he actually got mad; "No g-...

Hey guys, I have been reading on here for several days now so figured I'd finally introduce myself. Currently I'm driving a 1999 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 that I have put quite a bit of work into. It has a full audio system & I am currently working on the interior which has alot of custom pieces. Not too flashy but just enough to be different. Motor wise it's on the stock short block with a mild H/C ...

Finally, i got the chance to tune my baby on a dyno. Its a DynaPack, and its the only dyno in Israel, capable of holding load ponts, etc.... My street tune was pretty close, but i had some mild detonation, i couldnt pick up on the street, wich resulted in some minor timing trim. On the other hand, i went for a bit leaner A/F and raised 1 psi more, to 20PSI. A/F - 11.8-12.2 EGT - 1650 F ...
