Just a quick question, did anyone have a chance to test Linux Mint with the 2500z? Does it also give thermal problems at boot? Since it's based off ubuntu would this guide work for it?

I'm not a computer science major, so I am using the internet as schooling. I just have a few questions on why files cannot be understood in different OS. (ie Why can't linux read .exe files without the WINE emulator). Likewise, why can't OSX or Windows read .deb or what have you. I may not have the correct understanding on the basic fundamental architecture of kernels. Or maybe it's a litigation...
