Fords are made in Mexico and Canada, So are Dodges. Toyotas and Hondas are made in America. My Vette was made in Bowling Green KY. The last two Fords (Tarus and Windstar) I owned were both pieces of junk. The Dodge I own is also a piece of #@&% . That being said I own a Kia (work car) which also so far has been ...... You guessed it a piece of junk. So far the best car I have had is my 1993 ...

My F-150 when I bought it in 06' had a 98% American made parts content. I've owned nothing but Mustangs and F-150's and all of them have rolled over to six digits on the odometer with no major problems. I will not buy anything else

If all American cars were built like those things we wouldn't be talking. I bought my wife an 03 Pontiac Montana brand new. It gets good mileage (26 mpg of highway) need the thing with 3 kids. Otherwise I wouldn't wish this thing on my worst ...

Let's see,   Honda builds the Accord in Marysville, Ohio. Subaru has a plant in NW Indiana. BMW has a factory in South Carolina. Nissan has large facility in Canton Mississippi. Toyota has factories in Texas and several other states. GM has facilities in Canada and South America.   To answer the question with a question, what exactly is American?

GoFigureThat----you missed the landmark; Mazda became the first foreign nameplate to be certified by the U.S. DOT as a domestic (American) vehicle after production began in their Flat Rock, Michigan plant.
