I am baffled too. Being saved is a personal, one to one journey. Nothing to do with being born in or out of wedlock.

I am sorry to be so blunt. Where would you ever get a ridiculous idea like that? Sorry, there may be some stuff about being a bastard in the old Testament. I do not know much about it though. But your question is not logical as even if sin were put on a child from the parent, even IF that were true, belief in Christ erases ALL sin. Do you believe Jesus died for only some sin...

Sorry I did not mean to be rude. I was just astounded at the question but maybe it is good to talk about it because there may be people who do think this way. There is no such thing as a stupid question, and I do apologize. Last edited on Mon Oct 6th, 2008 02:50 pm by Bently

She said truth Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs from the childrens table...He responded , woman, ...

Weren't we all bastard children in someway before we accepted Christ? We were all born into a world that would teach us things that oppose what our one true Father would teach us. We were all born outside of the marriage to Jesus. Yes a physically born bastard child can be saved. But being saved is to be born again to the true Father of whose seed is planted within the heart....
