Seemingly they didn't bother giving [REC] a nationwide release in America so they just decided to make an American remake instead. This makes me cry so much :( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1082868/

I've got an idea for a horror movie, it's about these toddlers who are freaky and somehow evil, they terrorise their parents. Sounds crap right? Well here's the clincher - I'm going to film it completely in Spanish, there now I'm guaranteed to be rich because an American studio will buy the rights to a remake from me.

If people haven't seen [REC] , then how are they going to know that the last shot is used in the trailer? Surely the only people spoiling the movie are the ones who've seen [REC] and as such are pointing this out online?

And as per usual when Hollywood remakes a foreign film, you all get your knickers in a twist before seeing the finished product. It could be good, I liked [REC] and i'm willing to give Quarantine a go. If it sucks, what does it matter? (in reply to Neth )

Never saw (Rec) as I was away at the time, was it any good? I'm only asking because I saw the extended trailer before Death Race and thought it looked quite good so any info would be nice, Cheers.

I saw the trailer the other day, looks like it's a shot for shot remake... why bother? There's a perfectly good film about that just happens to be in Spanish. Can you read? Then go rent or buy it, don't bother with the remake.

Quarantine has been getting good reviews in the US and has pulled in $14m over the weekend. Still pisses me off this, if they just bloody released it properly in America they wouldn't have needed to bother with this. Then the makers would have a shit load o pennies to make another pant soiling treat! They better have paid a pretty pound to remake this!!!
