This game has been delayed indifinitely last we heard, while it was getting released every 18 months and being developed by two different studios ala CoD, the series stealth quality was great until the Double Agent abomination handled by Ubi Shanghai (see Treyarch's Cod). It seemed that Ubi Montreal tried to changed the formula but it looks like they weren't happy to how it was turning out ...

What they gave Conviction the axe? I thought that game looked incredible and was looking forward to it a lot. If they are reworking it then I think their best bet is to have it as a new generation launch title.

As much as I hate to say this, with MGS4's release, I've lost all interest in SCC. I THINK Ubisoft might have been choked up by their competition but I'm not assumed anyhing.

I highly doubt this, they are pretty different games. Im definitely itching to play some SC though. The last one was ass, I couldn't stand it, but if the game gets a next gen...

I don't think that I would go as far to say that the next Splinter Cell will be for the next generation. I feel that if Ubisoft Montreal is taking a lot of time into this, it would probably be released before the next Xbox comes. Besides, it's unsure how long this gen will last with all those claims from MS about how the 360 will stay as it's main hardware for a while. Sounds a lot like Sony's...

i agree with most of you, as i loved the first three splinter cell titles but didn't care for double agent all that much...ubisoft can take their time with this because i have enough games to play at the moment, but i'll be eagerly anticipating its release...hopefully it'll be out before the next xbox...

I absolutely loved the first three, specially the multiplayer aspect. I couldn't bring myself to finish Double Agent and i lost interest in Conviction a long time ago. I just wish that they go back to basics with the next one after Conviction.
