Are you implying that McCain was being racist with those comments?  You DO realize that saying anything even REMOTELY racist would be political suicide (this isn't the 1940's after all)?  Don't you think that McCain KNOWS that he has to be EXTRA careful about dragging race into the issue because that's a fight he can ONLY lose (blacks are the only ones that are allowed to be racist these days)?  ...

Yea, I'm actually with Lead on this one. If Barack wins, nobody will ever be able to criticize him because it all gets categorized as racist. Pretend Obama was Al Gore in that same scenario, and nobody would care that McCain said that, but suddenly it's a black guy and it becomes derogatory?
