I've played with HDR before but not seriously. I generally dislike the overly processed look of HDR images. For these real estate images though, the property is blessed with a beautiful tropical mountain setting as well as lots of glass to take advantage of the view. So, I decided on doing some HDR. Constructive criticism is welcome. I tried very hard to keep them looking as natural as ...

Hi, I have a problem with the video options of HL2. ep2. Under the HDR options, I only have none and bloom. The option for Full HDR isn't appearing in the list. I also have that problem in Portal and TF2. Half life 2, CS Source and HL2. ep1 are ok. Here's my spec : CPU : Q9550 Board : Asus P5Q-E RAM : 4Gb Corsair Dominator Video : Ati HD4870 512Gb OS : Vista ...

I would like to learn how to put together a few photo's in PSE 7 which will be HDR type... not necessarily that specific program. I took a few shots, one EV-3 one 0 and on at +1 and would like to put them together... the -3 captured the sky right... the +1 the detail in the scene.... all shot from a tripod with my D08, Tokina 12-24 (which I just got yesterday) ISO 100..... Thanks for any ...

Its "High dynamic range" not "All dynamic range" In fact HdR works best when there is a very large difference from high to low, Its this "split" that a normal camera cannot capture. shooting grey cards on a cloudy day would be a waste of time in HDR. Representing what is beyond the DR capabilities of the sensor and more closely what the human eye would see at the scene is my approuch to HDR...

A few weeks ago, I had no idea what "HDR" was until I saw an explanation in a photo magazine...it was an AHA moment. "So that's what it's called". True HDR apparently calls for multiple exposures. However with so many of the "HDR" images I've seen with playful, unrealistic coloration in the sky, etc. there has to be a way to do it to a single existing image. Anybody with ideas?

I know some of you dont like HDR type stuff but I felt like trying it out today. What do you all think and any pointers? This was a random car at the park today. I tried not to go crazy on the effects.

What are your opinions on HDR photography? I do admit to loving how so much detail can be taken and presented in a picture, but at the same time, I'm wondering if we're not taking nature and twisting it hollywood style to make it better than life? Anyway, I wanna hear some opinions on this because no doubt there are people out there who like and dislike it.
