For those who use or have used this tool. Do/Did you have problems with UFraw consistency with color rendition? One raw file is close to the real color but needs sharping while the anothers are way off and seem to random in color rendering. If imported with RT the color on all the test photos is very close. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

UFRaw 0.14 has been released today. It reads LX3 files. So I guess it's something of an alternative for Windows users. http://ufraw. sourceforge.net/ -Brian -- http://www.pbase.com/bhill94087/

Everything is possible! Today I had the pleasure to toy around with the mythical, always soon to come, DA*60-250f4 SDM !! It was there, quietly waiting for me and snugly attached to a K20 at Paris Photoshow... Since there were not a lot of people (it was early in the afternoon), I could play with it for some time (actually, I went back 4 times after playing with some other toys from ...

And it seems to be stable quite unlike the RawTherapee 2.4 ... (Plus there's a new GIMP 2.6.1 to come along.)

I have been evaluating some RAW converters. So far, RT (free), SilkyPix, UFraw and Adobe Lightroom. I bring up RT, SilkyPix and UFraw, Gimp all at the same time. Close all that down and bring up Lightroom by itself and it works fine. If I do something as simple as trying to load a jpg in a simple viewer and Lightroom hangs, the file explorer hangs and killing lightroom leaves the ...

I normally do not shot in raw, but decided to check it out because of hot spots. I used ufraw -> gimp and Raw Therapee. Camera shot raw+jpeg. Is it just my eyes, computer or are they different picture size. There seems to be more field of view in the raw photo. There is even a slight difference between ufraw and Therapee. Is this normal? This is just driving me nuts. Dam Pentax should ...

Hello, I shot in RAW for the first time yesterday on my Canon EOS 50D (actually, I used sRAW1). The 50D is on the supported list of cameras in the latest version of DCRAW (and all of tools that use it like UFRaw and the latest digikam). Anyway, long story short, I can't convert or view my raw files. The latest version of dcraw gives the following message: "Cannot decode file" ...

It appears as though UFRaw marks the color space as sRGB, but fails to embed a profile. The following warning is from Jeffries EXIF Viewer: "WARNING: Color space tagged as sRGB, without an embedded color profile. Windows and Mac web browsers will treat the colors randomly." The problem gets worse if Digikam is then used to open and save the photo because it quietly marks the color profile as...

Which version of UFRaw are you running and what OS are you running it on? UFRaw has a 1:1 preview - the icon looks like a magnifying glass with the number "1" in it and is located below the image preview and to the left of the "options" button. -- http://www.pbase.com/newmikey PCLinuxOS Digital Photography Edition http://www.dfpe.pclinuxos.nl/
